Come what May (fly) ...

Oddly enough, it's May and the mayflies have appeared. No real surprise there. Though only in small numbers at present, they will soon arrive in their millions very soon. This species seems to be the only one present in the area and it is tiny and therefore easily overlooked. Yet, using macro you can see that it really is a beautiful thing. These were resting on my door.
