Thunder thighs that will squash you ...

... this - I think - is a giant squash bug. They are big for a bug and rather scary creatures. They are also quick and strong. I caught this one at my school and took him home. I had to place him in the fridge for a short time to slow him down in order to get a few decent shots. He flew away unharmed afterwards.

Here he is now back on a plant outside, just before he flew away.
