Two's company ...

Last night, two almost identical tiny grasshoppers appeared. I have seen this tiny species on numerous occasions, but I have never seen one with a white face. Maybe one is male and the other, female. Other than the white face, they seem identical. They are also one of the smallest grasshoppers I have seen in Thailand, yet can jump extraordinary heights and distances.

Order: Orthoptera (grasshoppers and crickets)
Family: Tetrigoidea
Vernacular name: Rounded pygmy grasshopper ตั๊กแตนแคระข้างมน
Scientific name: Euparatettix insularis (Bei-Bienko)
